Welcome to Storily.me (“the Site,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Storily.me is a personal travel blog platform operated by S. Abdul Salam Shah (also known as Kazmi), based in Pakistan. It features authentic stories, vlogs, photos, and journal entries about mountains, forests, cities, and travel adventures. Users may submit their own stories via email (submit@storily.me) for potential publication.

By accessing or using the Site, you (“User,” “you,” or “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. We may update these Terms at any time; continued use constitutes acceptance of changes.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to use the Site. By using the Site, you represent that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms.

2. User Accounts

Currently, no user registration is required. However, if we introduce accounts in the future, you agree to provide accurate information and keep it updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any login credentials.

3. User Content and Submissions

  • Ownership: You retain ownership of any content you submit (“User Content”), such as stories, photos, or videos sent to submit@storily.me. By submitting, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, and display your User Content on the Site (e.g., for publication or promotion).
  • Representations: You warrant that your User Content does not infringe third-party rights (e.g., copyright, privacy) and complies with these Terms. You must have necessary permissions for any personal data or images of others included.
  • Moderation: We reserve the right to review, edit, or reject User Content for any reason, including quality, legality, or relevance. We are not liable for User Content.
  • GDPR Compliance: If your User Content includes personal data (e.g., names, locations), you consent to its processing as described in our Privacy Policy. EU/EEA Users have rights under GDPR, including access, rectification, erasure (“right to be forgotten”), and objection to processing. Contact us at info@storily.me to exercise these rights.

4. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Our Rights: All Site content (text, images, designs) is owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute it without written permission.

We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with applicable laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for EU/EEA Users. Key points:

  • Processing Location: All data is hosted and processed within the European Union (EU) through our Stellar Plus EU Hosting Plan, ensuring compliance with GDPR requirements. Administrative access may occur from Pakistan, but no personal data is transferred outside the EU/EEA.
  • Processing Basis: Data is processed for legitimate interests (e.g., improving the Site), consent (e.g., newsletters), or contract performance.
  • Your Rights: Under GDPR (Articles 15-22), you have the right to:
  • Access your data.
  • Rectify inaccuracies.
  • Erase data (subject to legal obligations).
  • Restrict or object to processing.
  • Data portability.
  • Withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing.

  • Site downtime or errors.

Our total liability shall not exceed $100 USD. This applies even if advised of potential damages.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising from your User Content or violation of these Terms.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violations. Upon termination, your license to use the Site ends, but prior User Content grants survive.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, without regard to conflict of laws principles, except where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to EU/EEA Users. For GDPR-related disputes, EU Users may invoke GDPR mechanisms, including lodging complaints with supervisory authorities (e.g., via edpb.europa.eu). Any other disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Dublin, Ireland. We encourage informal resolution first.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms by posting the new version on the Site. Changes are effective immediately. Check periodically.

13. Miscellaneous

  • Severability: If any provision is invalid, the rest remain enforceable.
  • No Waiver: Failure to enforce a right does not waive it.
  • Entire Agreement: These Terms, plus our Privacy Policy, constitute the full agreement.
