1. Content Focus:

  • Write about a personal travel experience that moved you emotionally or taught you something new. It can be international or local travel, any journey that left a mark on your heart.
  • Share what you felt: joy, surprise, discomfort, or curiosity. Highlight unique moments, such as a cultural difference, a memorable interaction, a new food, or a travel tip others can use.
  • Keep it authentic. We want your real story, not a generic travel guide.

2. Length and Format:

  • Your blog should be 600-800 words (approximately 3,000-4,000 characters).
  • Write in simple, clear English to connect with readers worldwide, including non-native English speakers.
  • Use short paragraphs and a conversational tone to keep readers engaged.
  • Avoid overly technical terms or jargon unless they’re essential to your story.

3. Photos:

  • Submit five high-quality photos from your trip (at least 1200×800 pixels, JPEG or PNG format).
  • Photos should relate to your story and capture its essence,people, places, or moments that stood out.
  • Ensure you have permission to share the photos, especially if they include other people.
  • Include a short caption (1-2 sentences) for each photo explaining its significance.

4. Tone and Style:

  • Be honest and heartfelt. Share what made your experience unique, even if it felt small or personal.
  • Avoid promotional content, advertisements, or overly commercial language.
  • Feel free to include humor, reflection, or lessons learned, but keep the focus on your story, not general advice.

5. Submission Process:

  • Email your blog and photos to submit@storily.me
  • Include your full name, a short bio (50-100 words), and the location of your travel story in the email.
  • Use the subject line: “Storily Blog Submission – [Your Name]”.
  • You can paste your blog directly in the email body or attach it as a file. Attach photos separately.

6. Contribution Details:

  • If your blog is approved, you’ll be asked to make a minimum contribution of $50 (USD).
  • We’ll provide a bank account number for you to transfer the contribution at your convenience.
  • For those facing financial challenges, a limited number of free-entry spots are available. Email submit@storily.me with a brief explanation to apply.
  • Your contribution supports the author’s dream of traveling to 180 countries and sharing their stories. It is not a payment for your blog.

7. Approval and Posting:

  • Our editorial team will review your submission for authenticity, clarity, and alignment with Storily’s mission.
  • You’ll hear back within 10-14 days of submission. If approved, we’ll share the bank account details for your contribution.
  • Once posted, your story will remain on storily.me permanently, inspiring travelers worldwide.

8. Tips for Success:

  • Focus on one specific moment or experience rather than summarizing your entire trip.
  • Edit your work for grammar and clarity, but don’t worry about perfection, we value your story over flawless English.
